Stampin’ Up Starter Set

The word is in… and I’ve been tracking my package all the way from Utah… my starter set will be arriving tomorrow! I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am. I’ve also registered for an online account with Stampin’ Up so that all of you can order from my online site. You can do this anytime from stampforfun.com by clicking on the “SU Store” tab or by going to http://griet.stampinup.net. I’ve also set up links to all the current catalogs on the sidebar of this site so that you can quickly browse anytime you want. Come back soon to check out what came in my starter kit box! This will be my first video, I hope I can get it to work.

100 Free Prints at Snapfish

If you place an order at Snapfish.com (I plan to order a 5×7 enlargement) you will receive 100 free 4×6 prints. You will still have to pay shipping and handling costs, but this is still a deal. And no fighting traffic, they come straight to your door. Use the code PRINTSNEW when checking out. Hurry, this deal ends on Wednesday (Jan 27th).

A Note About the New Masthead

Thanks to my husband, Todd, I have a new page layout with a new masthead.  This masthead was created with Stampin’ Up’s IN colors.  Do you see it?  Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, and Bermuda Bay (Melon Mambo is also in this family of colors, and a great color, but it didn’t make the cut)!  Cool, huh?  He asked me what colors I wanted and I pulled out my handy-dandy Stampin’ Up Idea Book and Catalog.  Thanks, Sweetie!

Stampin’ Up Demonstrator Update

So yesterday it was a week since all the paperwork was sent in to Stampin’ Up to become a demonstrator.  Apparently it’s very busy around SU these days- if you ever wanted to become a demonstrator now is the time to do it.

Yesterday I received my first email confirming my demonstratorship!  Actually, I was at the park with my kids and my phone goes ding-ding-ding-ding.  I didn’t know what might be going on for me to get FOUR emails all at once, but they were all from Stampin’ Up.  So last night I went on the demonstrator portion of the website… wow!  There is so much stuff there, it will probably take me weeks to get through it all.  But it’s nice to know that SU has taken the time to provide all the training information and support (there’s even a place to practice putting in orders).

So I want you to know I’m working through all this so I can be the best demonstrator possible and provide you guys with the coolest projects and best support.  Now I need your support to get started, book a Stampin’ Up workshop with me!

Signing up as a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator

So just in case you are interested I thought I’d share what I did to become a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. It’s actually quite easy, it took me a while just to decide what alternate products I wanted. I signed up under my demonstrator who doesn’t have a SU website, so we had to do it on paper and fax it in. The forms are on the SU website. I printed them out, and filled out all the easy stuff. Then I went through my list of “like to haves” and tried to match up the prices of what was in the kit to what I really would like to have. I then had to pick my colors for ink and the paper (which is only available in assorted packs, I’d much rather have solid packs). It’s really so easy I feel stupid writing it out!  But now you know, it’s an easy process, any of you could do it.

If you were ever interested in joining as a SU demonstrator now is a great time!  From now until the end of March is Sale-A-Bration.  That means you get a 15% discount on the starter kit plus a free stamp set up to a value of $47.95.

The stamp sets I selected were: One of a Kind, Always, Special Blessings, Simply Thanks, Flower Fancy, Retro Remix wheel, and Jumble Alphabet.

I’m very excited to receive my products, I hope they come this week!  I’ll post everything here when it arrives.

Welcome to stampforfun.com, let me introduce myself…

Welcome to my website.  I hope to build this into a community of creative and passionate friends who share in the love of paper crafts and creativity.  My name is Griet.  My husband is Todd and I have two great kids, Cade and Carson.  In the last year we’ve had quite a few ups and downs, most recently I lost my job.  This would be job loss number 2 for the year so I’m beginning to think I need to turn in another direction.  So here I am.  I’m starting this blog, I’m joining Stampin’ Up to become a demonstrator, and I’m going to tap into my creative side and see where it takes me.

Thanks for visiting my site.  I hope you tag me as a favorite and come back often.  I plan to post videos, my projects, challenges, and also share with you my day to day sagas as they unfold (who doesn’t need a good laugh!).  I’m forming a design team now so that you can find inspiration from a variety of personalities,  hopefully you will find someone’s work that fits your style.

Once I get everything set up you’ll be able to order Stampin’ Up products directly through my website. Also, once my starter kit comes in I’ll be posting a video of the unveiling.  I’m excited about it, hope you will come back to see it.

We will be working on the website format for a while, tweeking it, but I didn’t want to wait any longer to launch this site.

Take care and hope to see you back soon, Griet
